HOW: Develop Your OWN Bottled Water Product with Proceeds Supporting Technologies that Bring Safe Water to the World

Feel good factor: The technologies we are supporting provide direct aid. You can choose where you help, who you help, and how you help.  We have projects in Africa, Asia, and South & Central America. You can also interact with kids and schools across the USA who share your goals, and pool your money together.  RandomKid will develop the product with you, supply your bottles & templates (no charge), and set-up the communication networks between schools and youth groups.

Why: Because our soldiers can’t play regular outdoor sports safely during their free time.  By providing DVD’s, we are giving them safe recreation.

JOIN A YOUTH-DELEGATED UNITED NATIONS

Why: Because kids, like you, from around the world, deserve to have a voice in issues that affect the world (after all, the world will be ours one day).

HOW: Email us about your interest at UN@randomkid.org. You must represent a state or a country that we do not have a delegate for.  You will be issuing statements to the national and international media, passing resolutions, sending in peace-keeping "forces" and developing world policy.  Ages: 10-17

 Feel good factor: This is not a mock-U.N. This is a group of kids from all over the world who will become an international VOICE for the children of the world.

REBUILD THE GULF

Why: 60,000 people still live in 240 square foot trailers, usually with 3 people to a trailer.  

HOW: Sell Collectible House-shaped Aluminum Key Chains (Backpack accessories) Designed by Kids.

 Feel good factor:   Carabiners are only $3. Not only are you helping fellow Americans, but you will also be joining kids around the country.

PROVIDE EDUCATION TO THOSE WITHOUT

Why: Because without education, these children have no way to escape from their cycle of poverty.  We have great fundraising ideas designed for this project.

HOW: Raise Funds to Build a School in Rural Cambodia

Feel good factor:  The Asian Bank will match our funds, enabling you to build a school to educate 200-400 kids. Best part: THE KIDS GET TO NAME THE SCHOOL! 

FIGHT CANCER IN CHILDREN

 Why: Thousands of children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and this project raises funds for research, in order to increase survival rates, and financially supports families with children who are ill.

HOW: Pack an Extra Present at Holiday Time (to be filled with donations and prayers)

Feel good factor: Based on a wildly successful “Stuff the Stocking ” campaign in 2006, this project is easy to do. Plus, packing an extra present serves as a reminder of our many blessings, and adds to the holiday spirit of giving. 45% of the proceeds can be designated to any family in your area (or on our national waiting list) needing financial support while helping an ill child, with the remainder going to cancer research and project administration costs. Randomkid provides the "gift" box to pack (it is a pre-addressed mailer designed to look like a wrapped gift.)

HELP ANIMALS FIND HOMES

 Why: Shelters across the USA are flooded with animals needing homes who run the risk of being destroyed when housing is not found. Our “Dog Not Lost” campaign includes ways to get your friends, community, and the media involved in making a difference.

HOW: Hang Creative Signs that you Design,  Engaging a Clever Media Campaign

Feel good factor: You are saving the lives of animals through a fun campaign. Possible signs include a photo of a dog needing a home, with these words below the photo: "DOG NOT LOST", and these words below that: "But he could sure use a home." We have a slew a great slogans.

SUPPORT KIDS WHO ARE HOSPITALIZED, HOMELESS OR HUNGRY

Why: Many thousands of kids in the USA suffer from illnesses, homelessness and hunger.

MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR ANOTHER KID TO WALK

Why: 1.3 million children around the world are unable to walk due to a correctible condition known as “Club Foot”.  Because surgery is too expensive, a doctor at the University of Iowa came up with an inexpensive way to fix the condition using a series of 5 leg braces over a 3-week period.

HOW: You will walk so another can walk.  You will carry a pedometer that we will provide for you, and you will get people to pledge money for every mile you walk or run. Your goal? To walk a marathon—26.2 miles, or 42 kilometers over any amount of time (not all at once).

(Note: SCHOOLS are having their students carry the pedometers during their mid-day recess, and are using this opportunity to build fitness by inspiring kids to MOVE! The final lap of the marathon can be run in true Olympic style—to cheering crowds on your school’s track and field day, around the school property or at a local relay event. RandomKid provides the pedometers, pledge sheets, all incentives/rewards, and any other supports you need.)

Feel good factor:  YOU can be personally responsible for helping another child be able to walk!!!

ADDRESS WORLD HUNGER WITH RELIGIOUS SENSITIVITY

Why: Many thousands of hungry people have religious dietary  laws that prohibit them from partaking in traditional hunger packets. Our hunger packets meet the dietary restrictions of all the major religions of the world.

HOW: Pack universally accepted hunger packets to be sent wherever they are needed.

 Feel good factor: You are providing much needed nutrition and sustanance, with respect and regard for the religious dietary restrictions practiced by many of the people who need it most.  Each packet can be packaged very quickly, and provide food for a large number, making your impact quick and significant.  RandomKid will arrange for the materials for your event.
