Project Description

In a vacant lot in Des Moines, the Lone Tree Gardeners get to work. This community garden has been a source of fresh produce for a core of 25 youth, as well as those who receive fresh produce from our local food pantry. This past year we donated more than 50 lbs of produce (every 1 lb is 3 meals). Next summer, we will do better.
