Life Straws for Burkina Faso
In our high school and possibly those around the Westchester County area, we hope to sell Vapur Anti- Bottles in order to raise enough money to support a whole village with LifeStraws. In Burkina Faso there is a huge lack of clean water, but with the aid of LifeStraws, one village can prosper for a year. Unfortunately, we currently do not have the specific on the cost of these bottles, but as soon as this project is up and running, updates will be available. more

Lone Tree Gardens
In a vacant lot in Des Moines, the Lone Tree Gardeners get to work. This community garden has been a source of fresh produce for a core of 25 youth, as well as those who receive fresh produce from our local food pantry.
This past year we donated more than 50 lbs of produce (every 1 lb is 3 meals). Next summer, we will do better. more

Lost Puppies of Beijing
Our G4 English class is learning how youth can make a difference in the world. We chose to help the homeless animals in our city, Beijing. We found a local nonprofit organization to support, Lost Puppies. All of the money will raise will be donated to Lost Puppies. This money will be used to fund veterinary costs for rescued animals. These costs can vary and usually include but are not limited to vaccinations, de-worming, and temporary housing. more
